About the Author

David’s career was entirely in technical work. During the 1970s in Massachusetts, he worked with microwave frequency transmitters and receivers. He then transitioned to military communication equipment for aircraft, submarines, and missiles.

In the early 1980s, he became one of the few specialists capable of maintaining and repairing Tektronix, Fairchild, Teradyne, and Accutest equipment—expensive integrated circuit testers—down to the component level.
