Author Response
Дэвид Пинкстон – Ответ на Pacific Book Review
Thank you for taking the time to review Нерассказанная история семени сатаны. I welcome thoughtful engagement, as this work was written to encourage readers to examine scripture carefully and take personal responsibility for their understanding before God.
First, regarding the number seven.
The review references it in a manner that does not reflect what is written. The book does not present seven as a “good luck” number. In scripture, it consistently represents completion and finality within God’s order, and that is the context in which it is used. This is not a matter of interpretation, but a well-established biblical principle.
Second, regarding the implication of selective reasoning.
The suggestion that the work resembles “gold mining” to support a personal theory is not supported by the content of the book. The methodology presented is not selective. It is based on demonstrating continuity and alignment across scripture, spanning multiple authors and generations, all pointing to a unified message centered on Christ. The purpose is not to impose belief, but to present what is written in its consistency and allow each reader to discern for themselves.
As written in Proverbs:
“All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.”
Пословицы 8:8–11
Third, regarding the characterization of the work as “interpretation.”
This does not accurately describe the approach taken. The book consistently emphasizes that readers are not required to accept the author’s conclusions. Instead, scripture is presented directly, most often in its own words, with the expectation that each individual examine it personally. Belief is not assigned. It is a matter of individual responsibility.
Fourth, regarding the concept of grace.
The statement that the book presents grace as a gift does not align with what is written. The position follows the words found in the Gospels, where what we receive is tied to what we are. Mercy is given to the merciful, forgiveness to those who forgive, and grace is connected to the condition of the heart. As written, “grace for grace” (Джон 1:16). This distinction is central to the message.
Finally, regarding structure and presentation.
Different readers will have different preferences. The format was intentionally designed to present a complete and connected view of scripture, rather than separating ideas that are not necessarily meant to be understood together.
This work was not written to affirm comfort, but to encourage reflection, examination, and accountability before God. It is understood that not all readers will agree, and that is an individual’s choice. However, disagreement should be grounded in what is actually presented, rather than in assumptions that do not align with the text.
I stand firmly by the research, the scripture, and the intent behind this work.

Respectfully,
Дэвид Пинкстон
