Angels and Humans
Herein is a look at some biblical scripture to teach us some things we should know.
1) Some scriptural clarification about the sons of God,
2) Some things of significance which seems to be missed about Jesus, and
3) Some changes that are associated with humans after Jesus’ ascension, when he was cut off from the people (Daniel 9:26).
The intention is to clarify some scriptural misunderstanding.
Sons of God
Here are some words directly from GOD ALMIGHTY.
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
From this verse we know that in the Old Testament the sons of God are angels and not men.
I am sure that there was some grumbling out there from the above statement. I am sure because there are some preachers out there often teach that sons of God are always a reference to humans on earth that are righteous.
Now I ask you, “In your lifetime have you ever met a human that was righteous?” I have certainly met some that think they are righteous, but I never met one that truly was. Where truth is concerned, I am one who tries “not” to avoid stepping on toes, if needed. I sometimes stomp quite hard. Maybe more than I should, but it is pride, rather than the toes, that is the target. Teaching scripture wrong can have serious consequences. Consequently, from scripture, believing the term “sons of God” is referring to humans in the Old Testament is incorrect.
Now, I am sure some of you out there that are teaching that “sons of God” refers to humans are probably saying, “This guy doesn’t know squat.” Again, this time you are incorrect and if you are teaching it, it is your duty to get it right, your duty to guide others to understanding God’s truth. God many times refers to Ezekiel as “son of man” and James points out that Abraham was called “the Friend of God” (James 2:23) rather than God’s son. From the scriptures above and reasoning below, I show that the sons of God in the Old Testament are angels.
Here is an inherent problem that is caused, when often in a worldly rush, preachers get the biblical information wrong. When church leaders teach that “sons of God” in the Old Testament is a reference to humans, most of you that have heard it also believe it. You believe it because you trust your religious leaders. In other words, to be more correct, either you are too lazy, or GOD is not important enough to you to do your own research.
You folks that are lazy need to know that lazy doesn’t do so well in heaven because God is a just God. There will be no entitlements in heaven. In heaven hard dedicated work will be expected. It will likely be enjoyable work for the most part, but it will be work all the same. One will be expected to do their part, take out their own garbage, so if you are a couch potato that lets the wife cook, clean, do the shopping, and are too lazy to open God’s book, woe to you. When one does not read God’s guide to life here on earth that is the Holy Bible, cobwebs form. Synapses perform poorly in cobwebs and get stuck. Then that evil spider strikes and dark paths become the norm. God knows! It is time to get off your lazy butts, and do your own research. There are some very poor preachers out there, there are some very poor commentaries to guide us, and there are some others that plainly try to lead us away from God and their words just cannot be trusted.
Now back to Job 38:7 and the “sons of God”.
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
We know they are angels because, at the very least, this event was very close to and stands to reason that it was moist likely the very first sabbath about which God is talking. We know this by researching who the Morning Stars are and their importance at creation (Chapter 8 of “To Open One’s Eyes”). From knowing who they are, we know this can only be a very early Sabbath and this sabbath is of enough importance to have a huge celebration in honor of God. Nowhere does it say it, but undoubtedly, it is the very first Sabbath that God is talking about with Job. As such there was only Adam and Eve as humans and the sons of God were a reference to “a thousand times ten thousand and thousands and thousands of angels (Daniel 7:10, Revelations 5:11) which God had just created a few short days before (Chapters 10, 11, and 12 of “To Open One’s Eyes”)
Now as time went on there are just a very select group of humans that were raised to heaven, and I figure they may have been made righteous and later were maybe allowed the title of sons of God. This is just a select small group, not the norm, and certainly not pertaining to all the descendants of Seth. Sons of God in the Old Testament with possibly a very limited exception refers to angels.

The Dead
Now, here is what I get from the scriptures about the dead. Note: I read and interpret the scriptures considerably and consistently apart from most, and concerning the dead is one of those areas I deviated more than a little bit.
In the Old Testament humans are sons of men that can be saved through repentance by oblation (the offering) of the sacrificial blood of unblemished yearling sheep and calves, and then, if they have lived a God-fearing (Proverbs 8:13), clean life, as they died, they slept in the dust (Job 7:21, Daniel 12:2, 2nd Samuel 7:12, 1st Kings 1:21) waiting the first resurrection. After Jesus came to us in the flesh of a human and was cut off from the people at his ascension (Daniel 9:26 …shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: …) there were some major changes.
Jesus was there as the Father’s son at the beginning, born of water, before he was born of blood (1st John 5:6). Jesus was always with us before day one of creation (Chapter 10 and 11 of “To Open One’s Eyes”)
In fact, by scripture Moses most likely was speaking to Jesus on the mountain as noted in Exodus 3:2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: … who is also God noted in Exodus 3:4 … God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, … then he speaks in Exodus 3:6 … he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob … Only a few realize this difference of “the angel of the Lord” and can relate to that angel as Jesus, who is God (Chapter 9 and 13 of “To Open One’s Eyes”)
Jesus, born of water (1st John 5:6) just before creation, was born as the Archangel named Michael. This is documented in scripture by putting together parallel scripture that names Michael and Jesus as one and the same. This scripture can be found in Daniel; 1st Thessalonians; and John (Chapter 9 of “To Open one’s Eyes”)
I know this messes with indoctrinated Christians heads and their church indoctrination, so to avoid confusion, stiffened necks, and hardened hearts, I’ll just point to him as Jesus both before and after being born of blood.
Before being formed the son, Jesus was possessed by God (Proverbs 8-22) and then he was brought forth, born of water, (Proverbs 8:24), formed from God just before the Father said, “let there be light”. Now where do you suppose that light came from since there were no stars yet. Find out in “To Open One’s Eyes”.
Before Jesus was born of blood with a very few exceptions the dead sleep in the graves (Again noted in Job 7:21, Daniel 12:2, 2nd Samuel 7:12, 1st Kings 1:21). The few would be God-fearing people like Enoch, Elijah, maybe Moses, and a select group of Godly men and prophets. Twenty-four are mentioned in the Holy Bible, but there may have been a few more, in which their identity is kept unknown to us.
After Jesus was born of blood, lived his life on earth as a human and after his death and resurrection, at his ascension Jesus was cut off from the people (Daniel 9:26) and again with his Father, there were some serious changes concerning sons of God and death, that took effect. The significance of those changes is either missed or misinterpreted. The instant those changes took place is the very same instant Jesus died on the cross.
The earth shook, in the temple in Jerusalem, the thick vail between the holy place and the most holy place was torn top to bottom exposing the most holy place, and guess what?
It was found that God had left the building. The covenant with God was broken by the people of Israel many times over as mentioned in prophesy by Zachariah (11:10-11,14-17) and the other prophets. Sacrifice and oblation ended.
Since that instant in time there has not been a clean animal without blemish as a yearling, and thus sacrifice and oblation ended. This is one of many sure signs to Jews, other religions, non-believers, atheists and couch potato Christians that Jesus was God’s son in human flesh, born of blood. They just need to pay attention and not be distracted by the world to realize the truth. This is also a sure sign that from this time forward the proper path to eternity for the living is through believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God the Father and the blood he shed was God’s personal sacrifice for our sins, replacing sacrifice and oblation of clean animals. Now by believing, we “have the power” to become a son of God.
What happens to the dead also changed, and this is missed and misinterpreted by Christians everywhere, including the Sabbath keepers. The unsaved still sleep in the dust awaiting the second resurrection to condemnation (1st Thessalonians 4:16-17) just as it was before the death of Jesus. For the saved, it is different. Some think we rise to heaven, and others of us believe we sleep in the dust. I read scripture and get from scripture that both happen.
First, both believers and non-believers, continue as before and sleep in the dust until his coming (John 5:27-29). However, from scripture I also believe some of us saved become “sons of God” and are raised the third day, just as Jesus was (Hosea 6:1-2). I am sure that those of us that become “sons of God” do not sleep in the earth and do rise to heaven to be with Jesus and will be with him at his coming. However, not all the believers automatically become a son of God, as so many Christian preachers teach.
What changed? Those of us that believe, just by believing, have “the power to become sons of God.”(John 1:12) through the power given to us by Jesus. That is not an automatic thing by just believing. Those of us that become sons of God do rise on the third day, as stated by Hosea 6:1-2.
Hosea 6:
1 Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
I see the misinterpretation is in the words of John, as today’s thinking is it means we all, as believers, become “sons of God”. Additionally, when one looks at those words from John and combines them with the words of Hosea, and then considers the changes that happened when Jesus died concerning sacrifice and oblation, then one begins to realize that the power to become a “son of God” is not the same as becoming a “son of God”.
Jesus became the sacrifice and oblation for us. For all of us from that day forward, all of us that believe that Jesus is the son of God, who, just as Jonah, spent three days and three nights in the belly of the beast giving himself, and his blood for our salvation through that sacrifice. (Note: Preachers get this wrong too. Yes, Jesus spent three days and three nights in the beast belly, just like Jonah. Read it carefully.)
Jesus as God became our oblation, our offering to God, and combined with the lack of understanding of the significance of the change at his death. After he died, salvation comes only through Jesus Christ unless a camel can be sent through the eye of a needle. Yes, there is no sacrifice to offer to God, as God was the sacrifice. Now to become a “son of God” one must first believe that happened. Once we believe that happened, then we have “the power” to become a son of God. It is not only the belief that gets us there, and in that is the misinterpretation. Through believing, we now have hope to become a son of God.
By John 1:12 many think that just by believing in Jesus we become sons of God. We do not. Before we become sons of God, we are sons of men as it has been since the day in the garden when the apple was eaten, and sin entered our souls through heredity. By believing in Jesus as our savior our sins are forgiven, and we are saved and will eventually make it there, but until then as sons of men, we still sleep in the dust at our death until the first resurrection (1st Thessalonians 4:16-17).
As stated, having “the power to become sons of God” is stating that we have not yet crossed that threshold to become sons of God, just as those that sacrificed lambs and calves did not become sons of God. It indicates something more is needed than just to receive him.
Before Jesus was born of blood, we know that a select few made it to Heaven. Were these people perfectly cleaned and made righteous by God. Certainly not by their works, but only through God could they become righteous.
In having the power, we must still through that power earn our spot as a son of God. How? Well, I am not all knowing and have not a sure true answer yet, but God will reveal it in his time. In the meantime, the answer might be found in the study of those select few that did make it to heaven, the twenty-four known. Elijah rose to heaven without even the experience of death. That might be a good place to start. Another good place to start would be in getting creation right, as described in “To Open One’s Eyes”.
My “guess” is that we must certainly become a “son of God” if we are persecuted just as Jesus was, and we die for him just as he died for us. Maybe also through our actions to show faith, through devotion to reading and studying God’s word, in our ability to live nearly clean selfless lives, to forgive others, and perhaps even in part through our works being kept both ruth and private between God and ourselves, we can become sons of God. After all, it is through works that we show our faith (read James), but mostly I think it may be in our willingness to accept and give ourselves to God. God knows our hearts. He may try us through persecution and may not, but God knows our heart, and if it is right he knows. I figure we must prove our stable, unwavering loyalty and full faith to become sons of God. Expecting severe trial by God and through proving to be as Ruth was, is probably a requirement of the title that in such we may have as the reward early ascension to Heaven, just as Jesus did on the third day (Hosea 6:1-2). However, as a hard reality, most believers, through our worldly complacency will sleep in the dust. A little sleep, a little slumber, after all, isn’t football more important. Our interest in self over others, our lack of interest in the word as our guide to life, and such, will sleep in the dust of the earth until we are raised from the grave to the first resurrection (John 5:28-29).
Those unsaved still sleep in the dust of the earth until the second resurrection, in which those are raised to condemnation.
The Truth of God
Before Jesus came to earth as a human, the sacrifice and oblation (offering) were through the blood of an unblemished clean animal, which were plentiful among the herds. Now unblemished yearling clean animals for sacrifice are not available. This is just one more way God shows proof that Jesus is the Son of God. It all comes to us through the Holy Bible, as it is God’s absolute truth and gifted to us as our guide to life.
In the end, God’s book as our guide will be Satan’s bane. With simply reading it, the Holy Bible will bring many to understand his word is as though it is a living entity of God. As such, it will bring many to know and believe that Jesus is the Son of God. God’s book is Satan’s bane and knowing this Satan will want to either distort the scripture to lead away or plainly take away God’s book from the people just as he tried during the Dark Ages. This, I believe, is one of many sure signs that the end is very near.
